I understand how it must feel to be asked about the meaning of your art. Being someone who tries to draw, I hate that question and I always answer with "Art is not to be told, it is to be understood." The conversation ends there.
When I visited the Ernest Hemingway house in Key West, there’s a Picasso statue in one of the bedrooms. Apparently Hemingway traded Picasso the statue for a box of grenades.
